HMRC are stopping paper repayment notifications for Corporation Tax and Self assessment

HMRC have recently advised that they will be changing how they let clients know that they’ve issued a Corporation Tax or Self Assessment repayment by BACS, credit card or debit card.

From 8th April 2024, HMRC will no longer send you a letter to notify you that they have made a repayment. This is due to the letters often arriving after the payment has been received.

You will still receive any money owed to you by HMRC as usual into your chosen bank account, and you will be able to see any transactions on your government gateway account.
